Essential Algorithmic Assistance Notice: NITIX is an analytical research and educational software powered by language models (AI) designed to foster critical media literacy. No generated report constitutes judicial truth, infallible factual auditing, defamation ruling, or professional advice. Always verify citations and primary sources independently.
1. Nature of the Service & Probabilistic Heuristics
NITIX provides automated cognitive assistance and media discourse analysis across publicly accessible digital news articles. All outputs—including epistemic integrity matrices, headline alignment scores, distributional harm analyses, and rhetorical pattern detections—are automated heuristic hypotheses generated by probabilistic AI models. They reflect linguistic and contextual approximations against public sources and must not be interpreted as absolute, categorical, or judicial assertions regarding authors, outlets, or entities.
2. 'AS IS' & 'AS AVAILABLE' Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the NITIX platform, browser extensions, APIs, public audit repositories, and all generated materials are provided strictly on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis:
We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, non-infringement, reliability, or suitability of any audit, score, source dossier, or historical anchor.
Language models may occasionally produce hallucinatory URLs, misinterpret editorial satire or nuanced irony, or reflect biases present in underlying training data. The user assumes full responsibility for cross-referencing all receipts with primary institutional registries.
NITIX does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure availability of the edge cache, public permalinks, or translation endpoints.
3. Express Disclaimer of Professional Advice
Under no circumstances shall any report, analysis, or metric provided by NITIX be construed as legal, investment, financial, medical, accounting, or regulatory advice. Content is delivered strictly for civic education, academic inquiry, and critical media literacy. Users must consult licensed professionals before making any commercial, legal, investment, or public affairs decisions.
4. Strict Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NITIX, its developers, contributors, infrastructure providers, and operators shall not be liable for:
Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, business interruption, or reputational harm arising from the use of, or reliance on, any audit or information delivered by the platform.
Claims by third parties, media outlets, publishers, or public figures alleging defamation, disparagement, or inaccuracies resulting from automated AI interpretations performed on their publicly hosted web pages.
The total aggregate liability of NITIX for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to NITIX in the preceding twelve months (which, for free community users, is exactly zero dollars / $0.00 USD).
5. BYOK Architecture & Technical Intermediary Status
In Auditor Mode ('Bring Your Own Key' - BYOK), NITIX acts solely as a technical client-side interface orchestrating API requests directly between the user's browser and their chosen third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, Groq, Cerebras, or OpenRouter). The user operates under their own independent developer credentials and terms of service with said providers. NITIX does not inspect, sell, or assume liability for queries executed under personal user keys.
6. Right of Reply, Rectification & Takedown Procedure
NITIX is committed to rigorous epistemic integrity and good-faith procedural fairness. If you are an author, journalist, publisher, or subject of an audited piece and believe that a report hosted in the public community cache contains an empirical factual error, hallucinatory citation, or unjustified characterization:
Built-in Rectification Channel: You can submit a structured rectification request directly from the affected report via the 'Feedback / Discrepancy' dialog, specifying the URL, the exact claim in dispute, and supporting documentary evidence.
Expedited Legal Contact: Alternatively, you may contact our legal desk at legal@nitix.app with the subject line [Rectification Request / Hash].
Commitment to Review: We review all substantiated rectification notices within seventy-two (72) business hours. Upon review, NITIX will promptly correct, re-audit with fresh grounding, annotate with an explicit discrepancy notice, or de-index the disputed record from the public community cache.
7. Acceptable Use, Amendments & Governing Law
Users agree not to use NITIX to conduct unlawful harassment, inject malicious payloads, reverse engineer private prompts for abusive automation, or misrepresent automated AI estimates as binding judicial declarations. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. In the event of any controversy, parties agree to seek resolution first through good-faith direct mediation.
